Stereo and Depth Perception

Home
Under normal conditions, a child aligns both eyes on objects nearer than 20-feet and gets a slightly different objective image from the right and left eye that a normal brain can perceive and "depth" or 3-Dimensional. Some depth, or binocularity can be measured as early as 3-4 months of age. Constant strabismus disrupts the learning of depth and stereopsis.
